| Obverse description | At the upper centre of the field, a small unadorned effigy of Queen Beatrix faces right. Occupying the centre of the coin is a large stylised spiral or vortex motif composed of concentric elliptical lines, evoking themes of time, continuity, and the turning of the millennium. The denomination '10 GULDEN' is rendered in large characters at the lower portion of the field, with the date '2000' inscribed just above it. The circular legend 'BEATRIX KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN' runs along the upper periphery, separated from the inner field by a fine ring of beading. |
