| Obverse description | The obverse features a stylized geometric composition of overlapping Allied national flags rendered in segmented relief panels arranged in a circular motif, evoking the unity of the D-Day coalition forces. At the center, the denomination '10 EURO' is displayed in bold relief within a circular field, accompanied by the republican monogram 'RF' below. A diagonal ribbon bearing the Cross of Lorraine cuts across the lower right of the central design. The surrounding legend, divided between the left arc reading 'DU D-DAY AU VE-DAY – 80ème Anniversaire' and the dates '1944' and '1945' flanking the lower field, frames the composition. Four five-pointed stars are arranged in a row along the lower rim. |

| Additional information |
Juno Beach was assigned to the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division on 6 June 1944 — the only Commonwealth beach where a predominantly non-British national force led the assault. Canadian casualties in the first hours were the second-highest of any Allied beach that day, exceeded only by Omaha. The Monnaie de Paris has issued a beach-specific series for the 80th anniversary, treating each of the five landing zones as a discrete subject rather than collapsing the operation into a single commemorative.
