| 背面描述 | The reverse bears a right-facing bust portrait of Frederick II (Frederick the Great), King of Prussia, depicted in a coat with decorative collar and the Order of the Black Eagle star visible at the breast. The portrait is modelled in high relief in a naturalistic, neoclassical style. Surrounding the portrait, the circular legend '300. GEBURTSTAG FRIEDRICH II.' arcs along the upper rim, while the celebrated Frederician quotation 'IN MEINEM STAATE KANN JEDER NACH SEINER FAÇON SELIG WERDEN' curves along the lower and lateral fields. The regnal dates '1712–1786' appear to the lower right of the portrait, commemorating the 300th anniversary of Frederick's birth. |

This coin was issued to mark the 300th anniversary of Frederick II's birth in 1712. Frederick — Frederick the Great — reorganized Prussian coinage aggressively during his reign, debasing the currency substantially during the Seven Years' War to fund military campaigns, a policy that drew sharp criticism from contemporaries and badly damaged confidence in Prussian silver. The irony of commemorating him on a precision-struck proof issue is not lost on specialists.
The .625 fineness is notably lower than Germany's earlier commemorative silver standard of .925, a cost-driven shift the Bundesbank introduced in 2010.
