| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a stylized portrait of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, rendered in a distinctive pixelated or pointillist artistic technique that evokes the Waterland theme through a divided field. The upper half of the field presents the Queen's effigy emerging from a lighter, dotted background, while the lower half is rendered in a darker, contrasting treatment suggesting a reflection in water. The circular legend BEATRIX KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN runs along the outer rim, repeated in mirror image in the lower segment to reinforce the reflection motif. The design is the work of engraver E.
