| Obverse description | A detailed frontal view of the façade of the Church of the Convent of Saint Francis occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief with architectural elements including the central rose window, arched entrance portal, and tiered stone construction. The country name SAN MARINO arcs across the upper field, flanked by the twelve stars of the European Union arranged around the coin's inner border. The date appears to the right of the building, and the mint mark R is positioned to the left. The designers' initials M.C.C. MOD. and AL appear in the lower exergue, attributing the design to Maria Carmela Colaneri and Arno Ludwig. |
