| Obverse description | Right-facing armored bust of Emperor Leopold I with long flowing curled wig, wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with decorative pauldron visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque manner, dominating the field. A circular wreath border frames the portrait, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery separated by dots. The inscription reads LEOPOLDVS D G ROM IMP S A G H B REX, identifying Leopold as Holy Roman Emperor and King of Hungary and Bohemia, among other titles. |
