| Obverse description | The central field features the full coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia, depicting a sailing ship at sea beneath a palm tree and a rising sun, with a dove in flight above and crossed tools below, all within a decorative shield supported by the national motto on a ribbon reading THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE. The date 1997 is divided on either side of the arms in the mid-field. The legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination and silver content ONE OUNCE 10 DOLLARS FINE SILVER are inscribed along the lower border. The mint mark PM appears adjacent to the date. |
