Obverse description Intaglio-printed portrait vignette of Alexander Hamilton at center on a fine guilloche underprint, with the Federal Reserve Seal and Treasurer's signature at left, and the Treasury Seal with the Secretary's signature at right. A security thread is embedded vertically to the left of the portrait, and color-shifting ink appears in the numeral at lower right. The note is printed in green and black on white cotton-blend paper with microprinting along the portrait's border.
