| 表面の説明 | Right-facing bareheaded effigy of King Charles III, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features, after a portrait by engraver David Thomas, whose initials 'DT' appear in the lower field to the right of the bust. The surrounding legend reads 'CHARLES III · 2026 · SOLOMON ISLANDS' arranged along the upper arc. Below the bust, the denomination and fineness inscription '1/100 oz $10 Au 999.9' is inscribed in the lower field. The inner design is framed by an elaborately engraved decorative border incorporating Greek key, Celtic knotwork, floral, and laurel wreath motifs, lending a neoclassical character to the overall composition. |

Charles-Louis Napoleon Bonaparte spent years in exile and prison before engineering his return to French political life, winning the 1848 presidential election by an enormous margin on the strength of his uncle's name alone. He then dissolved the legislature in 1851, declared himself Emperor Napoleon III the following year, and ruled until the catastrophic defeat at Sedan in 1870 ended the Second Empire permanently.
The Solomon Islands has issued this piece under licensing arrangements that have made it a prolific host for gold miniatures of this type — the 45 mm diameter against 0.31 g of metal means the planchet is extraordinarily thin.
