Additional information

Monet spent the summer of 1901 painting the Charing Cross and Waterloo bridges from his room at the Savoy — not en plein air, but through a window, working dozens of canvases simultaneously as the Thames light shifted. The Cook Islands has been one of the most prolific issuers of numismatic silver in the Pacific region, routinely licensing cultural and artistic subjects well outside its own history. KM#3381 falls squarely in that tradition.
