Reverse description The reverse depicts the celebrated Nova Scotian fishing schooner Bluenose under full sail, shown in right-facing three-quarter view with sails billowing, rendered in detailed low relief against a plain field. The Bluenose, launched in 1921, was renowned as an undefeated racing vessel and enduring symbol of Canadian maritime heritage. The face value 10 CENTS appears in the lower portion of the field, flanked by the inscription CANADA arching along the upper periphery. The date appears within the design field, with the mintmark H present on certain issues indicating the Sherritt Mint striking facility. The overall composition continues the classic reverse design introduced on the Canadian dime in 1937.
