| Obverse description | The obverse bears the third portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile at approximately 64 years of age. The Queen is shown wearing the George IV State Diadem, a pearl necklace, and drop earrings, rendered in fine relief. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA encircles the effigy along the upper periphery, with the date absent from the obverse field.
