| 正面描述 | The national arms of El Salvador displayed centrally within a wreath of two olive branches tied at the base. The arms feature an equilateral triangle enclosing five volcanoes rising from the sea beneath a radiant sun, with a Phrygian cap atop a staff at the apex; a scroll below the triangle bears the motto DIOS UNION LIBERTAD. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE EL SALVADOR EN LA AMERICA CENTRAL runs around the periphery, with the silver fineness 835 and the date 1914 separated by a star in the lower exergue. A fine dentilated border frames the entire design. |

El Salvador's silver coinage of this period was struck under contract at the Casa de Moneda de San Salvador, but by 1914 the country was increasingly reliant on foreign mints as domestic capacity strained under modernization pressures. This issue predates the monetary reforms that would eventually push silver out of everyday circulation in favor of the colón system's subsidiary coinage.
