Obverse description Standard Song dynasty cash coin design featuring four Chinese ideograms in regular script (kaishu) arranged in the traditional cruciform reading order: top, bottom, right, left — rendering the legend 慶曆重寶 (Qingli Zhongbao). The characters are cast in relief within a broad, slightly raised inner square rim surrounding the central square perforation, itself framed by a prominent raised square collar. The annular field between the inner square and the outer raised rim is plain and unadorned. The broad outer rim is well-defined and characteristic of the larger-denomination Qingli issues.
