Obverse description The central field is occupied by an ochre guilloche underprint within a fine-line engraved border, bearing the denomination in large Gothic blackletter script and the issuing authority text. To the upper right, an intaglio portrait vignette shows a male figure wearing a turban-style head covering, rendered in dark grey. Two circular Reichsbankdirektorium seals with the Imperial eagle flank a block of facsimile signatures at the lower centre, while a large arabesque guilloche medallion in ochre occupies the left margin, incorporating the numeral 1000 as a latent underprint element.
