Obverse description The obverse features a musical staff bearing the opening notes of the Szózat, the celebrated patriotic poem by Mihály Vörösmarty set to music by Egressy and regarded as Hungary's second national anthem, rendered in low relief across the central field. The denomination 10000 FORINT and the issuing state MAGYARORSZÁG appear prominently in the legend, alongside the date 2014 and the Budapest Mint mark BP. in the lower portion of the field. Reverse description The reverse presents a finely modelled bust of Béni Egressy facing slightly left, depicted with a full beard and period costume including a cravat bow tie and frogged jacket, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The name EGRESSY BÉNI is inscribed in bold letters along the left arc of the legend, with the birth and death years 1814–1851 arranged vertically along the right arc. The designer's monogram lSZ appears in the lower left field, and the mint's stylised star logo is visible to the lower right. The overall composition reflects a classically restrained portrait style befitting a commemorative issue honouring a distinguished Hungarian cultural figure.
