Reverse description Full-length frontal figure of Christ in Majesty, standing within a beaded mandorla (vesica piscis) outlined with a border of stars, rendered in the Byzantine hieratic style characteristic of Venetian gold coinage. Christ raises his right hand in benediction and holds the Gospels in his left hand. The surrounding circular legend reads SIT·T·XPE. DAT.Q.TV REGIS·ISTE·DVCA, a dedicatory inscription invoking Christ as the true ruler of the ducat. The overall design is consistent across the long series of Venetian zecchini and exhibits the refined linear engraving style of the late 14th century.
