Reverse description Central field dominated by a multi-line Persian calligraphic legend in Nastaliq script occupying the majority of the flan, recording the mint name and regnal year. A decorative foliate or floral border element is visible at the lower portion of the field, a common embellishment on Qajar hammered gold issues struck at Isfahan. The legend is boldly rendered in high relief, the irregular flan and slightly off-center strike being characteristic of the hand-hammered technique employed at provincial Qajar mints.
