Obverse description Facing bust of Ahmad Shah Qajar at center, depicted as a young sovereign wearing a tall lambswool Qajar court cap (kolah) adorned with an elaborate jeweled aigrette of radiating feathers at the apex. The Shah is dressed in a military tunic with epaulettes visible on both shoulders. The Arabic-Persian date ۱۳۳۲ (AH 1332) is divided across the field, with ۱۳ to the left and ۳۲ to the right of the portrait. The entire design is framed by a fine inner border of raised beads.
