| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, with elaborately curled hair and lace-trimmed décolletage, the portrait rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style. The circular Latin legend is divided at top and bottom by the bust, reading M·THERESIA·D:G·R· IMP·GE·HU·BO·REG·, abbreviating her full imperial and royal titles. A fine milled border surrounds the entire design. |

A smaller inescutcheon at the center base displays the arms of Tyrol. The encircling Latin legend reads ARCHID·AUST·DUX BU·COM·TYR· followed by the date and mintmark, separated by stops.
