| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Joseph II facing right, without an inner circle, occupying the central field. The legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, reads the abbreviated Latin titulature for Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus Corregens et Hereditarius Regnorum Hungariae Bohemiae etc. The mint letter appears below the bust, denoting one of four issuing facilities: F for Hall, A for Vienna, C for Prague, or H for Günzburg-Burgau. The engraving reflects the refined neoclassical portrait style characteristic of late 18th-century Habsburg coinage. |
