(Translation: Frederik III, by God´s grace, King of Denmark, Norway, the Wends and the Goths)
背面描述 A crowned, single-tailed lion rampant, the arms of Norway, stands within a laurel wreath, holding a curved halberd in its forepaws. The mintmark appears in the field between the lion's forelegs and hindlegs. The royal motto legend encircles the wreath in the peripheral field, with the date divided as 16·64 below the wreath, flanked by stops, and the initials F.G. of the mint master.

附加信息

Frederik III issued this speciedaler during Norway's period of absolute monarchy — a system he himself formalized in Denmark-Norway through the Kongeloven of 1665, one of the most sweeping assertions of hereditary royal power in European history. The timing is not coincidental; coinage from these years was as much a political instrument as a commercial one, projecting an undiluted royal image at a moment when the crown was actively dismantling the power of the nobility.

The Rønning 45t designation places this among the documented varieties catalogued by Brynjulf Rønning, whose classification remains the standard reference for Norwegian specie coinage of the period.
