| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of King Frederik III facing right, the effigy rendered in high relief in the characteristic Baroque manner of mid-17th-century Danish-Norwegian coinage. The king wears an elaborate crown adorned with floral motifs, with long curled hair falling to the shoulder; a lace cravat is visible at the collar above the armor. The portrait is set within a beaded inner border, with the royal Latin legend distributed in the surrounding field between the bust and the beaded rim. The engraving displays fine definition of the facial features and regalia, consistent with the workshop standards of the Christiania Mint under Frederik III. |
