| 背面描述 | Central field depicts a detailed frontal view of the Kumbez of Manas, the medieval mausoleum traditionally associated with the Kyrgyz epic hero Manas, rendered with fine architectural detail including an arched portal and ornate tilework. To the left of the mausoleum stands a rearing horse, and to the right a crouching lion, both rendered in relief as symbolic motifs. A stylised bird in flight appears in the upper right field, with mountain peaks visible in the background behind the structure. A decorative border of traditional Kyrgyz floral and foliate ornamental patterns frames the lower and lateral edges of the composition. The legend МАНАСТЫН КҮМБӨЗҮ in Cyrillic and KUMBEZ OF MANAS in Latin script arc across the upper field, flanking a lozenge ornament, with the denomination 1 СОМ inscribed in the lower exergue. |

The Kumbez of Manas is the mausoleum in Talas province traditionally associated with the hero of the Manas epic, one of the longest oral epics in world literature — estimated at roughly 500,000 lines in its extended versions. Whether the structure actually marks Manas's tomb is disputed; the building dates to the 14th century, and a dedicatory inscription inside names a different person entirely, a noblewoman. Kyrgyz cultural nationalism has largely set that inconvenience aside.
