Obverse description Central device consisting of the interlaced royal cypher of Carl X Gustav — a large letter C enclosing a smaller G — surmounted by a Swedish royal crown, all set within an inner circle. The peripheral legend in Latin characters runs around the circumference, separated from the central device by the inner circle. The coin is struck on an irregular flan, typical of hammered coinage of the period, with a beaded border visible along portions of the rim.
