Obverse description Central interlaced royal cypher of King Frederik VI rendered in elaborate cursive script, surmounted by a royal crown with pearled arches. The numeral VI appears below the monogram in the lower field. The design is presented without a surrounding legend, occupying the full flan in a bold, uncluttered composition typical of early nineteenth-century Danish-Norwegian coinage.
