Guernsey's German Occupation currency was produced by the island's own administration under direct oversight of the occupying forces — not printed in Germany. The 1 Shilling 3 Pence denomination is an odd one, chosen specifically to facilitate pricing in the local wartime economy rather than to align neatly with sterling conventions.
