Obverse description Central shield of irregular form with lobed or bumped top and bottom edges, bearing a large archiepiscopal cross composed of two crossed staffs — a processional cross and a crosier — displayed in saltire within the shield. Above the cross, two small decorative flourishes flank the upper field. The shield is set within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a circular Latin legend in Gothic lettering occupying the outer field.
