Obverse description Central field displays a long sword pointing to the right and a bishop's key pointing to the left and upward, arranged without a shield, set within a beaded inner circle. The devices are rendered in the late medieval Gothic hammered style typical of Baltic ecclesiastical coinage. A Latin legend surrounds the central motif, separated by pellets serving as word dividers. The overall fabric is irregular, consistent with hand-struck billon coinage of the mid-sixteenth century.
