The four quarters contain the characteristic episcopal and dynastic devices of Francis of Waldeck, including the Waldeck star and Münster cross motifs. A circular border of beads frames the design, with the abbreviated Latin legend of the issuer distributed around the periphery. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregular edges and surface texture consistent with mid-16th century German ecclesiastical coinage. A small suspension hole is visible near the upper rim. |
