| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a bold cross pattée occupies the central field, enclosed within a plain round shield. The shield is surrounded by a Latin circular legend reading MONET · RVALIE · (date) ·, with the last two digits of the year appearing between pellet stops. The legend runs between the beaded inner circle and the coin's plain outer rim, which shows the characteristic irregular flan edges typical of hammered billon coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | A long cross extends to the coin's outer rim, dividing the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing a segment of the Latin legend. Within the angles of the cross, a beaded inner circle is visible, creating a distinct inner roundel against the flat field. The legend MAGI - STRI - LIVO - NIE is distributed one word per quadrant and reads continuously around the coin, separated by pellet or cross stops. The overall design is consistent with the anonymous schilling coinage struck at Reval for successive Masters of the Livonian Order during the mid-sixteenth century. |
