Obverse description The Portuguese colonial arms of Estado da India occupy the central field, comprising a quartered shield displaying the traditional Quinas (five escutcheons) alongside the armillary sphere and castle, set within a lined circle. Above the shield, a mural crown of towers and battlements is prominently displayed.
