Reverse description The reverse presents a bold Nasta'liq calligraphic inscription arranged in interlocking sweeping strokes across the entire coin field, characteristic of Afghan hammered rupees of the early 19th century. The upper portion bears the mint name 'Zarb Kabul' (struck at Kabul), while the lower field carries the AH regnal date '١٢٥٥' (AH 1255, corresponding to 1839 CE). Pellet ornaments punctuate the field between letterforms, adding decorative texture to the composition. The flan edges are irregular and show typical flow lines from hand striking. No border or rim is present, consistent with the hammered technique of Durrani coinage.
