| 表面の説明 | The obverse bears a multi-line Arabic legend in the Naskh script, densely filling the field in the characteristic Mughal hammered style. The central inscription contains the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith): 'There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.' Below the Kalima, the names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs are inscribed — Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, Umar al-Faruq, Uthman Dhu al-Nurayn, and Ali al-Murtada — a standard formulaic inclusion on Mughal rupees of this period. The calligraphic legends are arranged in curved lines following the round flan, with the text extending nearly to the coin's rim. The die is hand-engraved, resulting in the slightly irregular, expressive letterforms typical of hammered Mughal coinage. |
