Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic calligraphic inscription in nasta'liq script arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, recording the emperor's titles and the mint name Lahore (لاهور), along with the regnal year. The legend reads the imperial titulature of Shah Jahan, Emperor of the Mughal realm, with the mint name and the Hijri year clearly indicated. The text is framed by a simple linear border typical of Lahore mint issues of this reign. The hammered flan exhibits the characteristic irregular outline and surface texture of hand-struck Mughal silver coinage. The numeral 4, denoting the regnal year cycle, appears as a distinguishing element in the field.
