Reverse description Central field displays the Kalima Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) inscribed in Nasta'liq script within a square cartouche, reading 'La ilaha illallah Muhammad rasulullah' (There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah). A sword is depicted at the base of the regnal year (sana) inscription, with the Hijri date recorded to the left. Additional marginal legends referencing the mint name Katak and the regnal year appear around the cartouche, rendered in the characteristic bold calligraphic style of late Shah Jahan coinage.
