Obverse description Central field dominated by the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith) rendered in bold Naskh calligraphy, arranged in multiple lines within an outlined square cartouche. The AH regnal year 1041 appears within the composition. The surrounding area outside the square bears additional Arabic legends in the field. The calligraphy is deeply struck and characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage style.
