Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold Persian inscription divided into four quadrants by a raised square frame, with the royal title and name of the emperor Murad Bakhsh rendered in flowing Naskh calligraphy. The legend reads 'Badshah Gazi Mohammad Murad Bakhsh' distributed across the quadrants of the inner square. Additional marginal inscriptions occupy the outer border surrounding the central square. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven in thickness, characteristic of hammered Mughal coinage. The overall design follows the standard Mughal rupee format established under Shah Jahan.
