Obverse description The field is occupied by a three-line Persian legend in bold Nasta'liq script, reading 'Muhammad Shah Badshah Ghazi Sikka Mubarak,' arranged within two horizontal cartouche-style bands separated by a ruled line. The regnal name appears prominently in the upper register, with the royal title and the auspicious coin formula filling the lower register. The AH date, partially visible, appears in the lower portion of the field. Decorative dot ornaments flank the inscriptions at intervals, a typical feature of Mughal hammered coinage of this period. The planchet is irregular in outline, consistent with the hand-struck production technique of Mughal mints.
