| Obverse description | Central field bears the royal legend in Persian nastaliq script arranged in three horizontal bands divided by double parallel lines, reading 'Muhammad Shah Badshah Ghazi Sikka Mubarak' — identifying the emperor Muhammad Shah as 'King and Warrior of the Faith' with the auspicious coin proclamation. The regnal year in Hijri numerals (AH 1135 and variants) appears in the lower band. The entire design is typical of late Mughal hammered coinage, with bold, flowing calligraphy filling the circular flan without a defined border. |
