Scattered pellet ornaments flank the lettering within the cartouche, and additional calligraphic text occupies the upper and lower crescent-shaped margins of the irregularly shaped flan. The script is executed in bold, deeply struck Nasta'liq calligraphy characteristic of late Mughal imperial coinage. |
