| Reverse description | Central field bearing a Persian-script inscription in two horizontal registers divided by a curved line, recording the mint name and regnal year. The upper register contains the pious formula 'Manus-i-Memanat' (the touchstone of favour), while the lower registers give the regnal year ('Sana Julus') and the mint epithet 'Zarb Ajmer Dar-ul-Khair' (struck at Ajmer, the abode of goodness). The calligraphy is in Nasta'liq script, typical of Mughal silver rupees of this period, enclosed within a plain circular border. |
