Obverse description The obverse features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, centrally positioned in the field, depicting three lions atop an abacus adorned with a Dharma Chakra (wheel) flanked by a bull and a horse in relief. The Devanagari legend reads along the left, with the denomination in both Devanagari and Latin scripts arcing around the lower portion of the coin. The country name INDIA appears in Latin script along the upper right. A mint mark is present at the bottom of the field below the emblem.
