Reverse description Reverse bears a multi-line Nasta'liq Persian inscription recording the mint name and date, reading 'Mah Aban Ilahi 1022, zarb Kashmir, 8 sana' — identifying the month of Aban in the Divine Era year 1022 (corresponding to 1613 CE), struck at the Kashmir mint in regnal year 8 of Jahangir. The calligraphy is bold and deeply impressed into the hammered flan, with individual letter strokes sharply rendered. The legend is arranged in three to four registers across the field, occupying nearly the full surface in keeping with Mughal epigraphic convention. No border or decorative elements are present.
