| Obverse description | The obverse displays bold Arabic calligraphy in the Naskh script arranged in horizontal registers across the field, enclosed within a plain linear border. The central legend reads the kalima, the Islamic profession of faith, in large, sweeping strokes characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage. Additional inscriptions in the upper and lower registers record the regnal titulature of Emperor Jahangir. The coin bears a small hole, a common feature on circulated Mughal rupees used as personal adornments. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents the mint name and regnal year in Arabic script arranged in two horizontal registers separated by a plain line, a layout typical of Mughal rupees of the Jahangir period. The upper register bears the mint name Ahmadabad, while the lower register records the Hijri year and the ilahi regnal year. The lettering is executed in bold, fluid Naskh calligraphy with a granular border encircling the inscribed field. A small hole is present in the lower central register, consistent with the obverse. |
