Obverse description Crowned and draped bust of King George V facing left, wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state with decorative insignia visible at the shoulder. The effigy, engraved by Sir Bertram Mackennal, is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the crown and military dress. The circular legend reads GEORGE V KING EMPEROR, evenly distributed around the periphery. A beaded border frames the entire obverse design.
