| Obverse description | Central field bears a two-line Persian poetic couplet ('badr munir' verse) inscribed in flowing Nasta'liq script, arranged within a horizontal cartouche dividing the face. The AH regnal date is struck above the central band, with additional inscription segments filling the upper and lower registers. The calligraphy is characteristic of late Aurangzeb-era Mughal hammered coinage, with bold, rounded letterforms occupying nearly the entire flan. Decorative pellets or floral stops appear between inscription segments in the field. |
