| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a two-line Persian couplet in flowing Nasta'liq script within a rectangular cartouche defined by two horizontal ruled lines, with small pellet ornaments flanking the central field. The upper legend reads the first hemistich of the royal verse, and the lower line completes the couplet, all set against an unadorned round field typical of Mughal rupee coinage. The inscriptions proclaim the emperor's glory, likening the coin's radiance to the full moon. |
