| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered silver flan bearing a two-line Persian couplet in Naskh script within a central cartouche, reading 'Sikka zad dar jahan chu badr munir / Shah Aurangzeb Alamgir' — proclaiming Aurangzeb as the luminous full moon whose coin circulates throughout the world. The AH regnal date appears below the cartouche. Decorative floral or pellet ornaments frame the legends in the field, typical of late Mughal hammered coinage. The overall strike is slightly off-center, consistent with hand-struck production of the period. |
