| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Carl XIV Johan facing right, rendered as a classical Roman-style bust with curly hair, truncated at the neck. The portrait is boldly modelled in high relief against a smooth field. The circumferential legend reads in Latin along the toothed border, identifying the king and his titles. The overall style reflects early 19th-century neoclassical portraiture as favoured by Bernadotte-era Swedish coinage. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a crowned rectangular shield bearing the three crowns of Sweden, encircled by the chain of the Order of the Seraphim. The date and denomination are divided by the chain's pendant at the base, with the mint master's initials (A.G.) appearing at either side. The king's personal motto is inscribed in two parts along the upper and lower rim within the toothed border, completing the design. |
